Originally minted on KnownOrigin on October 21, 2018 as an edition of 100, this piece evolved over five years - from its first appearance on Tumblr in January 2013 through countless iterations before reaching its final form. With the phrase "Tech won't save us" as its memento mori, The Doomed embodies XCOPY's signature dystopian aesthetic and skeptical view of technology's promises. The work took 433 days to sell out at 0.075 ETH, yet has become one of crypto art's most culturally significant pieces, spawning multiple variants including the coveted Black & Green, Red, and Black & Red editions.
